Basic Firefighting with Breathing Apparatus

Who is this course for? Newly appointed emergency team members with little or no firefighting experience.
Course Outline This course covers the skills and techniques that are required to be successful in the role of emergency response team member allowing them to safely respond to an onsite emergency situation. The course develops from simple use of fire extinguishers to learning how to use breathing apparatus safely in hot fire conditions to multi-level firefighting dealing with high pressure flammable gas releases and fuel spills.

Assessments/Qualifications Delegates will be assessed by continual visual observation and questioning by experienced competent trainers. Successful delegates will be eligible to apply for City and Guilds award in Industrial Firefighting (Basic).
