Who is this course for?
Emergency damage repair team members with the responsibility of carrying initial/interim repairs during safety critical incidents.

Course Outline
These courses cover the skills and techniques that are required to safely respond to a safety critical incident in order to carry out a necessary repair or to reinstate a particular process. Although these courses are organisation specific they cover the following where required:

• Effective communication
• Teamwork exercises
• Task prioritisation
• Incident assessment and 'size up'
• Damage repair
• Safe use of breathing apparatus
• Casualty search and rescue
• Firefighting procedures

Previous case studies where organisations have mobilised their own damage repair teams have resulted in the prevention of major safety critical events. This course provides the opportunity for damage repair teams to practice their repair skills under challenging realistic and varied conditions.

Assessments/Qualifications
Training staff who are competent and experienced will make assessments using questioning and direct observation techniques.
