Who are these courses for? New emergency vehicle drivers or potential Instructors for local authority Fire Services (EFAD) or any drivers for organisations required to drive LGV's or any other vehicles under 'blue-light' conditions. Personnel requiring refresher training.
Course outline These courses have been designed in order to fulfil the requirements of Local Authority emergency appliance drivers. They are also appropriate for Industrial Fire Brigade, Airport and any other non-statutory emergency drivers.
Benefits The course enables the delegates to acquire the knowledge, skills and understanding to comply with all statutory requirements.
Assessment EFAD assessment is continuous throughout the courses. Theoretical knowledge is assessed through questions and observations by an experienced driving instructor. Each successful delegate is awarded an appropriate certificate.
Future Development It is intended to expand LGV and 'defensive' driver training for a wider range of organisations.
