FLARE (Fire, Lifeskills and Rescue Education)

Duration: 5 days.

Who is this course for? 
Young People aged 12 - 16 who have been identified as being at risk of offending or as displaying risk-taking behaviour.

Course outlines and benefits.
The course has been developed around basic Fire Service practical skills with a major focus on teamwork. This leads to developing the young persons self esteem and improving their inter-personal skills. 

The young people are given the opportunity to work towards AQA Unit Awards. There are up to 4 of these awards available for successful completion of the course.  These cover:

  • First Aid
  • Life Skills
  • Teamwork
  • Fire Extinguisher Recognition and Use.
